Claudia Denington

I’m Claudia, a Psychotherapeutic Counsellor with an advanced diploma in Transactional Analysis from The Metanoia institute in London.

I am a BACP member and hold a DBS certificate (Basic). I also have a BA Hons Degree in Psychology and Criminology. Alongside my practice I have worked in the field of mental health and wellbeing for the past 10 years, working for Mind, The Anna Freud Centre, Rape Crisis and for multiple counselling services across London and Devon.

I have significant experience supporting employees in workplaces through counselling and training and have worked with the Met Police, NHS, WPP Group, SAGE publishing, COS stores, H&M, The Supreme Court, global banks and insurance companies (& many more) around improving their mental health and wellbeing at work.

For many people who come to see me, they are looking for a supportive space during times of overwhelm or want to work through areas of life which feel challenging. For some, the goal may be simply feeling better, for others we might work towards a more specific goal. I offer both short term and open-ended work.

I integrate a range of approaches into our work such as: Transactional analysis, CBT, psychoeducation, relational psychotherapy, sexual trauma support, nutrition and lifestyle support.

The hope is for clients to feel empowered to gain more control over their work, relationships, confidence and ultimately their lives, and to move from a space of “surviving” to “thriving”.
