Hi, let me introduce myself… my name is Anneke Beresford, and I am a licensed Person-Centred Therapist. I trained and qualified on a BACP-accredited course in the UK and have over 13 years of professional experience, with a background in helping clients rebuild their lives after Domestic Violence. More recently, I worked as the Interim Service Manager in a residential rehabilitation unit, supporting individuals and their families through the challenges of addiction.

I started my own therapy practice in 2022 and feel privileged to work with clients facing a wide range of issues, including relationship difficulties, stress and anxiety, trauma and abuse, coping with addictions, and eating disorders.

While my core therapeutic approach is person-centred which is grounded in empathy, authenticity, and unconditional positive regard. I also work integratively this means I draw on complementary approaches such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), mindfulness-based practices, and somatic awareness, where helpful. This flexible way of working allows me to meet clients where they are and to tailor the therapeutic process to their unique needs and preferences.

I believe in treating everyone with respect, sensitivity, and compassion. It takes courage to seek a more fulfilling and peaceful life, and to take the first steps toward change. I am here to support and empower you on that journey, and I look forward to meeting you soon.
