I am a family and systemic psychotherapist registered with the United Kingdom Council for Psychotherapy. I have over 30 years’ experience of working as a psychotherapist, predominantly within the NHS. I have extensive experience of working with children and young people, families, couples and adults. I have worked within Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS), Eating Disorder services, Early Intervention in Psychosis, and Adult Mental Health. I also have experience of working with people with common mental health problems, such as depression and anxiety. I have worked with foster carers and adoptive families within specialist CAMHS and am myself a parent of an adopted child.

I have completed an Advanced Training in the Clinical Supervision of Systemic Psychotherapy, and have taught and supervised students up to Doctorate level.

My therapeutic orientation is to take a systemic approach, which means that I would take into account, not only the individual’s current situation, but also the influence of other factors, such as relationships, childhood experiences, family, work situation, etc. on the current problem. I work collaboratively with clients, working towards the goals that they would like to achieve, and aim to bring about change within the shortest possible timeframe. Most clients attend between 5 to 10 sessions.

I am committed to providing access to therapy regardless of race, colour, religion, national origin, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, age, disability, or any other characteristics protected by law.
